![]() We also spoke to a guest that had flown that morning. That evening Bob got out his harnesses to show us how our 4 foot tall 50 pound fearless son could safely fly, and even hung him from the rafters in the carport to see how it would feel. We stopped in and introduced ourselves and made plans for them to fly when the conditions were right. My wife and son had wanted to tandem hang glide while in Puerto Rico. When we arrived at our rental house we realized that Bob and Keishya were just a few houses away. We would highly recommend doing this and if we're ever back, would love to get certified (they have both been hang gliding instructors for 20+ years). With no motor you never know how long you'll be up for, but rest assured Bob and Keisha will do their best to keep you soaring as long as possible. My flight in the morning lasted nearly 30 minutes, and my wife's in the afternoon was approximately 8-10 minutes. Bob will do his best to find the most lift possible but certain days the weather just doesn't cooperate. You are at the mercy of the winds and thermals. ![]() The only caution to prospective hang glider pilots is that you must remember this is not powered flight. They were very patient to find the best conditions and gave us memories that will last a lifetime. We had a great time with Bob and Keisha and really enjoyed sharing their (and our) love of flying. It was an incredible time and I would highly recommend it. We flew for nearly 30 minutes over the mountains of El Yunque park and the experience was one that will stick with me for the rest of my life. What a feeling! It was an absolutely amazing experience and Bob did an incredible job finding lots of thermals to keep us airborne for as long as possible. From there we were off, running for dear life to give the glider much-needed lift. Despite the wind not cooperating for about a half hour, they remained patient until things became favorable. After a quick lesson on the finer points of launching a glider and controlling it in flight, we were ready for liftoff. Since my wife and I are pilots for the USAF, we know a little something about flying, and Bob and Keisha tailored their instruction to our level. They are both extremely knowledgable and answered all of our questions. Rather than canceling we changed our reservation to a better weather day and boy, was it worth it! They met us promptly at the launch site and talked us through the dynamics and considerations of unpowered flight. When the weather was not going to be conducive to great soaring they were honest with us and even offered us to call off our adventure, after we had already agreed to go through with it. They worked with us to find the best day possible during our vacation to go hang gliding. Keisha and Bob were absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly.
